How would you describe Shmuel’s hands
It’s so unfair. Bruno’s hands are big and fat and healthy, while Shmuel’s are skinny and sick-looking. The fingers look like dying twigs. I asked Shmuel how his hand came to look like that and he said his hands used to look like Bruno’s, but now everyone on his side of the fence looks like he does. It’s just not right.
Bruno was sad to hear that Shmuel’s father had disappeared and offered his support to his friend. Shmuel appreciated Bruno’s kindness, but was still feeling very upset and worried about his father’s whereabouts.
