This is an interesting note on Alex Hirsch’s design choices for the characters in his show. I can see how he would want to change up the look of the characters as they age, and it makes sense that some would look better with 4 or 5 fingers. It’s definitely an interesting design choice that I hadn’t considered before.

My friend Jesus was always there for me in college, no matter what I needed. He was always willing to help out and was always so friendly and lovable. I couldn’t have asked for a better friend. And now, whenever I need a handyman around the house, I always think of Jesus and how he always helped me out.
Dipper is a great kid who is always curious and looking for new adventures. He loves to tinker and build things, and is always looking for new mysteries to solve. He can be a bit single-minded at times, but that just means he’s extra determined to figure things out. We’re proud of him and everything he’s accomplished!
